Help us Win the Battle for Liberty – Join Freedom21!

April 16, 2007 Volume 10, Issue 2

APC is now offering you a quick and easy way to multiply your efforts and help win more battles! Simply click http://www.referralblast.com/rblast.asp?sid=5906 to send this APC Action Alert to up to TEN of your friends! It’s fast, it’s easy, and most of all, it’s extremely effective in KILLING LEFTIST POLICIES!

We've all watched over the past several years as one liberty after another has disappeared. Our once free nation, where individuals were protected as they made their own decisions about how to live, now finds almost every aspect of American life controlled by government.

We have become a nation ruled by food police, smoking police, thought police, speech police, government medical care, energy czars, education czars, immigration czars, and intelligence czars. Soon, in the name of "election reform," our system of selecting our local representatives may be controlled by a federal election czar.

We aren't allowed to close our borders because that wouldn't be fair to people who want to ignore our laws. We are told that English is just one language spoken in this country. Our religion is no longer permitted on public lands that our tax dollars pay for. Now we are soon to have a National ID card that must be shown to open a bank account, get a job, get on a plane, or buy a gun. Government at all levels no longer serves to protect our liberties and property.

No longer can our nation call itself the beacon of freedom in the world. In fact, the Heritage Foundation has released its Index of Economic Freedom, and for the very first time, the United States isn't even in the top ten free nations. We are tied with Switzerland for 12th place. Clearly, American liberty is dying.

Our movement is a vast resource of dedicated, smart, hardworking activists. We are property rights activists; Second Amendment defenders; parentally-controlled education proponents; free enterprise advocates; tax opponents; family autonomy champions; personal privacy protectors; and guardians of American independence and sovereignty. There are millions of us, but we are scattered to the four winds. We write our letters to the editor and strive to make our individual efforts worthwhile, but we know we could be more effective with better coordination, and, of course, more money.

As is obvious to all of us, no rich foundations or big money men are coming to help us. And there has not existed one nation-wide organization providing the tools all of us need. We created Freedom21.com to become that resource, so we can help ourselves.

The site is now free to everyone!

We hope you have already bookmarked Freedom21.com as your preferred site for news, commentary and action alerts. If you have, I hope you’ve noticed the major changes taking place. We're growing. To begin, you do not need a password to log in. That's right. We've opened up the news, commentary, action alerts and bulletin board to everyone, member or not.

Here you will find news simply not available on other sites. Freedom21.com focuses on issues like private property rights, personal privacy, illegal immigration, national sovereignty, taxes, guns, education, and individual liberty. We also provide links to other important sources of news like CNS.com and Liberty Matters. Christians can find the latest news from our link with Agape press; libertarians can enjoy Lew Rockwell's blog; and political junkies can get all sides from Teagan Goddard's Political Wire, Watch blog and the Drudge Report. .

Freedom21.com's commentary section carries all of your favorites including Phyllis Schlafly, Cal Thomas, Thomas Sowell and many more every day.

We are expanding the Action Alert section to provide petitions, faxes and up to the minute action to take on the important issues of the moment. Soon, the action alert area will carry complete archives on the debate over the creation of a North American Union.

The Bulletin Board is a place where you can post messages and correspond with other Freedom21.com visitors.

Visit the Freedom21.com online store. Here you will find the books, CDs, DVDs T-shirts, mugs and other items you'll need to get the facts and help spread the freedom message.

It's all free to everyone who visits Freedom 21.com, "Freedom's gathering place on the 'net."

But a membership to Freedom21.com gets you more!

Freedom21.com was created as a very simple plan; one that will provide all of the information above, and raise much-needed funds. Our goal is to bring more than one million freedom-loving Americans together; one million Americans taking action when the alerts are issued; one million Americans sharing information and coming together into one mighty fist. Above all, our plan can put more than $24 million a year directly into the Freedom movement.

Help us achieve this goal. Become a member of Freedom21.com for only $6.99 a month or $75.00 for an entire year (and get one month free), and get much more. You see, Freedom 21.com donates $2 of your membership fee, every month, to the freedom organization of your choice. That means your money will be working for your cause even while you are just living your everyday life. Keep in mind, no other Internet site puts money directly into the pockets of groups who support your mission of freedom. Local and national groups, radio talk shows, and Internet news sites are all welcome to become participating partners and receive the $2 from their own supporters, listeners, and readers who subscribe to Freedom21.com. You pick the group when you sign up as a member.

You can purchase your membership on line with your credit card here http://www.freedom21.com/register.asp. Or, if you prefer, you can simply print a registration form here http://www.freedom21.com/regform.pdf, and mail it with your $75.00 check for your yearly dues to Freedom21.com, 70 Main Street, Suite 23, Warrenton VA 20186.

Your membership includes a free subscription to my popular newsletter, "The DeWeese Report" (a $59.00 value). Only members can access it directly online each month. Also, as a member, you will be automatically signed on to all of Freedom21.com's petitions, faxes and other vital communications to Congress. You won't have to do a thing, and there is no extra charge beyond your monthly membership fee.

Those who carry a passion for the ideals of liberty as described in the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution will feel right at home on Freedom21.com.

Freedom21.com gives us an opportunity to begin to turn the fight around. New ideas for the movement will spring up, funded by the seeds sown by Freedom21.com. But this is the starting place. This is freedom's gathering place on the Internet. This is our chance to declare a new kind of fight against those who threaten our liberties. Finally, we can have the money and the fist we've always needed.

Be a Freedom21.com news stringer

If you have news to pass on to us, just send it to the Freedom21.com news editor, Kathleen Marquardt. She is the best selling author of "Animal Scam, the Beastly Abuse of Human Rights," and one of the first brave Americans to stand up to and oppose the violent animal rights movement. Daily, Kathleen surfs the Internet looking for up to the minute news items.

If you have a story concerning gun rights, property rights, education, personal privacy, family issues, taxes, national sovereignty, illegal immigration, just plain old politics, and much more, just send it to Kathleen at freedom21news@hotmail.com.

Plan to Attend the Freedom21 National Conference

You should plan to attend the 8th Annual Freedom21 National Conference, held this year July 19 to 21 in Dallas, Texas. This conference is APC’s most important project each year, and should be on your "must do" list. The speakers and presentations are always excellent, providing you an in-depth education on the wide range of Agenda 21 threats to your personal freedoms.

This year’s conference is the only one of its kind to focus entirely on the debate over the creation of a North American Union. The conference will feature addresses by Phyllis Schlafly, Henry Lamb, Patrick Wood, Michael Coffman, Cliff Kincaid and Tom DeWeese, to name a very few. Also invited to speak are Rep. Ron Paul and Jerome Corsi. Participants will learn about the Security and Prosperity Partnership, the Trans Texas Corridor, the Kansas City Smart Port, the role of immigration to the process, and the connections of the SPP with Sustainable Development.

Joseph Farah from WorldNetDaily is the Keynote Speaker.

The program includes an all-day training seminar conducted by Dan and Margaret Byfield. This seminar is designed to teach you how to organize your local community; and how to approach your elected officials; and how to use the documentation to present a powerful case for opposing this movement toward a North American Union.

Allen Quist and Mike Chapman for Edwatch will present documentation on public education’s ties to Sustainable Development.

Marlo Lewis from the Competitive Enterprise Institute will dispute the message of Al Gore’s film, "An Inconvenient Truth."

The conference educates, unites, inspires, and renews the spirit. You’ll meet new people who are involved with these struggles, and renew acquaintances with people from other states; it’s always an inspiring experience. And, you'll have a lot of fun, too.

Registrations so far are ahead of previous years at this time. This will surely be THE event of the year.  Go to www.freedom21.org for all the details. Freedom 21 is the gathering place for the freedom movement. Make your reservations at https://secure.freedom.org/eco/f21-07.dyn, and please book your conference travel with Freedom21 Travel Services. If you don’t want to use a credit card online, you may register by calling during business hours, 9-5 CT, Monday-Friday, at (731) 986-0099. If you need help financing the conference, the Freedom21 Federal Credit Union can help http://www.freedom21fcu.org/

Tell President Bush To Withdraw From The North American Free Trade Agreement!

NAFTA has exploited America and is bleeding our nation dry. Many believed NAFTA would reduce trade barriers, promote "free trade" between Mexico, Canada, and the United States, and raise living standards, adding hundreds of thousands of new jobs to the U.S. economy.

Calling NAFTA a "trade" agreement is misleading. In truth, NAFTA is really an "investment" agreement. Its core provisions grant foreign investors a remarkable set of new rights and privileges that promote relocation abroad of American factories and jobs and the privatization and deregulation of many essential services.

NAFTA’s implementation has increased our trade deficit. The agreement has created a race-to-the-bottom in wages; 1.8 million Americans have applied for assistance as a result of lost jobs. And foreign truckers now threaten our safety on the nation’s highways.

Republican Reps. Virgil Goode of Virginia, Walter Jones of North Carolina and Democrat Gene Taylor of Mississippi have said enough is enough. They’ve introduced a bill, H. CON. RES. 22, "Expressing the sense of Congress that the President should provide notice of withdrawal of the United States from the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA)." We couldn’t agree more!

The bill was referred last January to both the House Ways and Means Committee, chaired by Rep. Charles Rangel (D-NY), and the House Energy, Commerce and Trade Committee, chaired by Rep. Bobby Rush (D-IL). It is being ignored by both committee. You must act, or it will never be allowed to go before the entire House for a full vote.

Over ten years have elapsed since NAFTA was enacted. The time for promises and conjecture has passed. The data are in, and they prove the damage NAFTA has wrought for millions of Americans. Please act today!

ACTION TO TAKE:

1.  Contact the House Minority Leader, Rep. John Boehner. The Minority Leader office number is (202) 225-4000; Rep. Boehner’s regular office number is (202) 225-6205.Tell Rep. Boehner you oppose NAFTA requiring America to conform all of its domestic laws with those of Mexico and Canada – regardless of whether voters and their duly-elected representatives had previously rejected those policies.

2.  Contact your own Congressional representatives. Ask your Congressman to pressure Committee Chairman Rangel and Committee Chairman Rush to release H. CON. RES. 22 to the full House for a vote.

Phone calls and letters are the most effective way to contact your elected representatives.

E-mails and faxes are many times ignored. Members of Congress have been changing their e-mail addresses and fax numbers when we send out alerts. If you prefer, though, you can send an e-mail by going to each member’s website at http://thomas.gov.

Alternatively, you may phone the United States Capitol switchboard at (202) 224-3121. A switchboard operator will connect you directly with the Senate or House office you request.

If you choose to write, and do not know your Congressman’s mailing addresses, you may simply address your letters as follows:

Office of Congressman (Name)
United States House of Representatives
Washington, DC 20515
